Bentonite Slurry Dewatering
Turning spent bentonite suspensions into stackable cake and reusable water.
Each stage is selected around the slurry, the geology and the disposal route. Open a stage to see what it contributes to the process.
Start from the slurry your project produces. Each application page explains typical slurry characteristics, the recommended treatment process and the equipment configuration.

Excavation, diaphragm wall and wash-water sludge, reduced to a transportable cake.
Process and wastewater sludge dewatering, with the filtration cycle matched to the sludge chemistry.
Chamber, membrane and automatic filter presses are the core of every DELIAN system and are configured around the required cake moisture and throughput.
Automated filtration cycles for continuous industrial operation.
Plate-and-frame dewatering for construction and industrial slurry.
Closing units, plate shifters and the retrofit that turns a manual press automatic.
Plant equipment
A thickener takes the cheapest water out of a slurry: the tank settles the fines, the rake draws them to the centre and the overflow returns to the circuit — so the filter press is sized on the underflow rather than on the whole flow.
Efficient separation and dewatering for bentonite and construction slurry generated during microtunneling and pipe jacking operations.
Equipment selection follows the slurry, not the other way round. The four steps below are how a DELIAN dewatering solution is put together.
Process evaluation based on actual slurry characteristics.
Equipment and process selection based on capacity, solids concentration, geology and target cake moisture.
Filter press combined with slurry conditioning, screening, separation and water recovery where required.
Installation, commissioning, training, spare parts and technical support.
Applications, capacities, equipment configuration and measured results from delivered projects.
Every dewatering plant is sized around the measured slurry: volumetric capacity, solids concentration, particle size distribution and the required cake moisture. Slurry testing comes first, equipment selection second.
We design and build solid-liquid separation and sludge dewatering systems for tunneling, microtunneling, pipe jacking and industrial plants — from slurry testing and process design to commissioning and spare parts.
Every slurry is different. Send us your slurry characteristics and project requirements so our engineering team can evaluate a suitable dewatering solution.
